I know writing inside and out, as a journalist with 20-plus years of experience, an author of nonfiction books (with a tight delivery schedule) and a literary short story writer. As a skilled editor and a writer with flair, I blend the highest journalistic standards and heart and soul of a poet in my approach to critiquing and editing.

I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and have studied creative writing with Kentucky poet laureate James Baker Hall at the University of Kentucky and premier short fiction writer/novelist Ron Carlson at Arizona State University. I am a member of SouthWest Writers and the International Women’s Writing Guild.

I also offer book coaching – which is different from critiquing. Coaching is encouraging you through the process of producing a full-length work and keeping it on track. Through book coaching, I help you outline your project, set goals, work through stuck periods and stay on track.
